Nature of Request: I am conducting a scoping review/systematic literature search on the topic of CAM in the mass media (excluding Internet and advertising). I have located 16 articles on this topic through a search of several health, social science and communications databases and scanning reference lists obtained through those sources. Now, I am writing to researchers in an attempt to locate any more, and potentially unpublished work in this area.

Are you aware of any original research that has examined CAM content in the mass media? If so, I would appreciate knowing either specific reference information or contact information of the researchers who completed the work. Unfortunately due to resource restrictions, I am limiting my search to English language publications only.

Timeframe of your request: There is no specific timeframe, but the earlier the better, of course. I am not limiting my search by date, so the research could have been conducted or published at any time.

Location of Interest: I am in Calgary, Canada. I will be reviewing any suggested publications here.

Other relevant requirements/details to the request: I am conducting this research project as background to my PhD dissertation, in which I am examining print media coverage of CAM for cancer as well as the impact of such coverage on the decision to use CAM.
