Symposium on Complementary Health Care 11th-13th

Abstracts for the Annual
Symposium on Complementary Health Care need to be
submitted by the 1st of September.
This international symposium focuses on original
complementary and alternative medicine (CAM)
research. Organised by the Complementary Medicine
unit at the Peninsula Medical School in Exeter, UK,
it provides a forum for anyone with an interest in
CAM research and offers a unique opportunity to
discuss key issues such as effectiveness, safety and
costs in critical yet open-minded debate.
The main programme of the symposium consists of
two days of oral and poster presentations,
complemented by workshops.
Highlights for 2007:
Paediatric CAM research day (11th December)
Chaired by Sunita Vohra, University of Alberta,
Canada The 5th Varro Tyler Memorial Lecture
presented by Prof Basil Roufogalis, University of
Sydney, Australia CAM Practitioner research workshop
(13th December) Chaired by John Dent, Complementary
Therapists Association, UK
