As part of December’s meeting on complementary medicine research to be held in Exeter, one day will be devoted to issues relevant to paediatric complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) research.  This day will involve an open panel of international paediatric CAM research leaders to share summaries of their initiatives and findings with the conference attendees.  The first part of the day will examine international networks on paediatric CAM research and practice, and address the challenges and opportunities they see in CAM research. The aim is to build key collaborative relationships and accelerate increased high-quality research in this area. The second half of the day will be devoted to presentations on paediatric CAM research and will include topics such as paediatric CAM utilisation studies, challenges in locating paediatric CAM evidence and implementing knowledge translation strategies, key methodological, legal and ethical issues related to paediatric CAM research, and experiences in establishing an evidence-based paediatric integrative medicine program.  If you represent a network whose mandate is focused upon paediatric CAM research and practice, please contact info@pedcam.ca.
