ISCMR has received a request to review the
following: "Natural Standard Herb & Supplement Handbook, Herb & Supplement
Reference Guide, and/or On-line Database" from Natural Standard
www.naturalstandard.com. Natural Standard Research Collaboration aggregates world-wide, peer-reviewed,
evidence-based, non-biased research on alternative and complementary therapies.
The texts and on-line database are educational resources for professionals,
students and educated consumers.

for Abstracts: XXth European
Conference on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care
XXth European Conference on Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care:
“Medicine, philosophy and the humanities”
23–26 August, 2006
Helsinki, Finland
This conference is organized by the European Society for Philosophy of
Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) and die Finnish Society for Philosophy of
Medicine. Abstracts addressing the following topics can be submitted:
Nature of medicine; Medicine between science and
humanities; Philosophy and alternative/complementary medicine; Philosophy in
medical education; Humanities in medical education; Medicine as a resource for
philosophy; Philosophy as a resource for medicine; Literary representations of
philosophy and medicine; Medicine and metaphysics; Aesthetics and other human
values in medicine; and The embodied human.
The
program of the conference includes plenary sessions as well as parallel
sessions. Persons wishing to present papers at the conference are invited to
submit an abstract (500 words maximum) before December 1, 2005.
Abstracts will be selected for oral presentation by the Conference Program
Committee. Please send abstracts (through E-mail or on diskette in Word) to:
