ISCMR NEWSFLASH 

1) Congress Programm now available


The Third International Congress on Complementary Medicine Research will be
held from 29 to 31 March 2008 at the Sydney Convention Centre in stunning
Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia. ICCMR 2008 represents a major worldwide
event that will bring together an international network of researchers, practitioners
and industry leaders from around the globe in the area of complementary medicine.

The congress will include:

1.Plenary lectures by international experts on the latest research information
and methods on CAM practices (health care integration, international harmonization
of regulations, disease application and socio-economic aspects).

2. Symposium talks by invited speakers and free communications in many
CAM areas, including regulation, herbal medicines safety and efficacy, clinical
trial and research methodologies, mind-body, exercise, TCM and acupuncture,
CAM practice evidence, socio-economic aspects, chiropractic and paediatric
CAM and homeopathy. Systems included are Chinese, Ayurvedic and western
medicines in the health areas of cancer, pain and diabetes and other conditions.

3. Workshops: there are a number to choose from on Saturday 29 March,
specifically Herbal Medicines and Globalisation of TCM, Herbal medicines for
brain and behaviour: from bench to bedside, TCM practices and research as
well as chiropractic and mind-body medicine.

4. Mini-Conferences in CAM-education, chiropractic, TCM and paediatric CAM

2) New Journal 

Integrative Medicine Insights is a peer-reviewed, open-access research journal where
those engaged in integrative medicine can turn for rapid communication of the latest
advances in the application of complementary and alternative medicine toward the
goal of overall wellness.

Manuscripts can be submitted through our submission tracking system, called My LA.


3) CAMCOMM Project

now visible in a pilot version, showing the core concept and options.
More functions will be added during the winter.
