2) Canadian PedCAM Network Meeting

Kids and CAM: Research meets Practice

May 24th, 2006

Edmonton, AB, Canada 

A one-day event devoted to pediatric CAM research, hosted by the Canadian PedCAM Network, will be held on May 24th immediately prior to the North American Research Conference on Complementary and Integrative Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta. The day will feature speakers who are leaders in the field of pediatric CAM research, including David Moher, Kathi Kemper, and Stephen Aung.

Participants in this meeting may choose from concurrent sessions in two areas: research skills for pediatric CAM research and experiential sessions on CAM practice as it relates to children. Research workshops offered will include RCTs and systematic reviews for pediatric CAM, mixed methods, and funding strategies for pediatric CAM research. Experiential sessions on traditional Chinese medicine, naturopathy, and massage therapy for children will also be offered. PedCAM invites participants to join us for a reception hosted by the Sick Kids Foundation to conclude this informative day.
